The Bishop is the head of Catholic Education. The dean, who is in
charge of policies and procedures for the Catholic School System, helps
him. The dean is established at the top of the governing model.
All policies and procedures
are approved through him with the approval of the Bishop. Marshfield
Area Catholic Schools Education Commission is made up of three
members
from each of the Marshfield
Catholic parishes, and one member from each of the two outlying
parishes. They get delegated authority from the Bishop and
the dean.
The commission assists
in identifying educational goals and objectives, helps in policy
forming, policy recommendations, long range planning and finances.
The commission also helps
in marketing, public relations and recruitment. They give recommendations
to the dean, MACS president and the principal for Columbus
Catholic High School
for consideration.
